The bottles feature a wide conical ground joint neck and comply with ISO 4796-2. The wider neck is more convenient for handling powders.

DURAN® EVOLUTIONARY BOTTLE SYSTEM THE EVOLUTION STARTS HERE The DURAN® ORIGINAL GL 45 laboratory bottle evolved from the DURAN® REAGENT BOTTLE. It was made of borosilicate glass 3.3, a special glass invented by Otto Schott in 1887 and registered in 1938 under the trade name DURAN®.

Reagent bottles DURAN®, clear/amber, pressure resistant DURAN® reagent bottles, DIN thread, ISO 4796. Pressure resistance, as a result of amended shape, in the range of -1 up to +1.5 bar (tested by the TÜV in accordance with DIN EN 1595, with GS mark).

Traditional glass stoppered reagent bottles are suitable for autoclaving at 121 or 134 °C, or dry heat sterilization. Polyethylene, or PTFE, standard taper stoppers offer an alternative to glass stoppers. Both the wide- and narrow-necked versions of the DURAN® ISO 4796-2 reagent bottles are available in clear or amber borosilicate 3.3 Type 1
